Chastain Facilities & Capital Advisory

Organizations don’t struggle with facilities because they don’t care — they struggle because operations, capital planning, and projects are often fragmented, reactive, and unsupported at the ownership level.

That’s where I come in.

I’m Brent Chastain, founder of Chastain Facilities & Capital Advisory. I help organizations bring clarity, structure, and strategic oversight to their facilities, infrastructure, and capital investments — acting as a trusted owner-side advocate and operational partner.

A Background Built on Execution, Not Theory

My career has been built inside complex, real-world environments where planning, accountability, and follow-through matter.

I began in the United States Marine Corps, serving in logistics and leadership roles that required discipline, coordination, and operational clarity under pressure.

From there, I went on to:

  • Own and operate a custom manufacturing and installation business, managing everything from sales and contracts to production and execution
  • Lead facilities and construction operations for an educational institution, overseeing budgets, staff, maintenance, and capital improvements
  • Manage commercial construction projects, including multi-million-dollar public and private projects
  • Work in financial services, strengthening my understanding of risk, forecasting, and capital decision-making
  • Serve as a facilities and construction management consultant, supporting organizations with capital planning, infrastructure strategy, project oversight, and operational systems

Across every role, the common thread has been ownership-level responsibility — making decisions that impact people, budgets, and long-term outcomes.

How I Work

I don’t operate as a detached consultant.

I integrate into your operation — learning your facilities, your team, your constraints, and your goals — and then help you move from reactive decision-making to intentional, well-informed strategy.

That might look like:

  • A focused assessment to diagnose risk and inefficiency
  • A long-term capital plan that replaces guesswork with foresight
  • Owner-side advocacy during construction or renovation
  • Ongoing fractional leadership and strategic oversight

My role is to protect your interests, bring structure where it’s missing, and help you make confident decisions about your facilities and capital investments.

A Practical, Technology-Aware Approach

Facilities and capital planning are evolving.

I actively incorporate modern tools — including software systems and emerging AI capabilities — to improve documentation, planning, forecasting, and operational efficiency. Always practically. Always aligned with your organization’s real capacity.

Technology should support good strategy — not complicate it.

Who I Work Best With

I work with organizations that:

  • Own or operate complex facilities
  • Have real assets at stake
  • Value stewardship, accountability, and clarity
  • Want an advocate on their side — not another vendor

This includes schools, institutions, nonprofits, private organizations, and ownership groups of all sizes.

Let’s Talk

If you’re facing uncertainty around facilities, capital planning, or a major project — or simply want a clearer path forward — I’d welcome a conversation.
